Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Keepah ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. Keepah is operated by Keepah ("we," "us," or "our").

2. What Keepah Does

Keepah is a relationship intelligence app that helps you remember important details about the people in your life, preferences, birthdays, gift ideas, conversation notes, and more. Keepah includes an optional AI assistant, cloud sync, and notification features to help you nurture your relationships.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Keepah. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Your Account

To use Keepah, you may create an account using your email address, Apple Sign-In, or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

5. Your Data & Privacy

Your privacy is fundamental to Keepah:

  • You own your data. The profiles, notes, journal entries, and personal information you create belong to you.
  • End-to-end encryption. Your sensitive data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it ever leaves your device.
  • Cloud with local option. Your data is securely stored in the cloud by default. You can switch to local-only storage in Settings if you prefer.
  • No selling of data. We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
  • Delete anytime. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Free Tier

Keepah offers a free tier with core functionality. You can use Keepah to store and manage your relationship data without a subscription.

Premium Subscription

Keepah offers premium features through a paid subscription processed through Apple In-App Purchase or Stripe.

  • Pricing is displayed in the App before purchase
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the billing period ends
  • Manage or cancel via Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Stripe per their policies

7. AI Features

Keepah includes an AI assistant powered by OpenAI. When using AI features:

  • AI responses are suggestions, not professional advice
  • We send only the minimum context necessary
  • OpenAI does not use your data to train their models
  • AI features are entirely optional

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Keepah only for its intended purpose. You agree not to:

  • Use Keepah for any unlawful purpose
  • Reverse-engineer or decompile the App
  • Interfere with Keepah's infrastructure
  • Use automated systems to access Keepah
  • Attempt to access other users' data

9. Intellectual Property

Keepah and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Keepah and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of any content you create.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep Keepah available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. If you use local-only storage, your data remains accessible on your device even when our servers are unavailable.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Keepah shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

12. Termination

You may stop using Keepah and delete your account at any time. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the App ceases immediately
  • Server data is permanently deleted within 30 days
  • Local data remains under your control

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
