Frequently asked questions

How do I sign in to Keepah?

You can sign in with your email address, with Apple, or with Google. If you use email, we send a six digit code to that address. Type the code into the app to finish signing in. There is no password to remember.

My sign in code never arrived, or it says the code is invalid.

Work through these in order:

  1. Check the spam, junk, and promotions folders. The code comes from Keepah, sent from a keepah.com address.
  2. Make sure you typed the same email address you originally signed up with. A different address creates a different account.
  3. Codes expire after 10 minutes. If yours is older than that, request a new one and use the newest code only.
  4. If your email provider is slow, wait a minute before requesting another code. Every new request cancels the previous one.

Still stuck? Email hello@keepah.com from the address you are trying to use and we will sort it out for you.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Keepah subscriptions are purchased and billed through the app store you installed from, so cancelling happens there rather than inside Keepah.

  • iPhone and iPad: open Settings, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, choose Keepah, then Cancel Subscription.
  • Android: open the Google Play Store, tap your profile picture, tap Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, choose Keepah, then Cancel subscription.

You keep your paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting your Keepah account does not cancel the subscription, so cancel first.

Can I get a refund?

Apple and Google handle all payments for Keepah, which means refunds go through them and not through us. On iPhone and iPad, request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, use the order history in Google Play.

If you were charged for something that did not work, tell us anyway. We cannot issue the refund ourselves, but we can fix the problem and back up your case.

How do I delete my account and everything in it?

Open Keepah, go to Settings, tap Privacy and Security, then tap Delete Account and All Data and confirm.

This removes your profile, your people, your journals, and your analysis. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore an account after it is deleted. If you have an active subscription, cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first, because deleting the account does not stop the billing.

If you cannot open the app for any reason, email hello@keepah.com from your account address and ask us to delete it for you.

What does Keepah do with my data?

Keepah exists to hold private notes about the people in your life, so we treat that as the most sensitive thing we could possibly hold. The full detail of what is collected, how it is used, and who it is shared with is in the Privacy Policy.

If you want a copy of your data, or you want something specific corrected or erased, email us and we will take care of it.

Something is broken. How do I report a bug?

Email us with what you were doing when it broke, what you expected to happen, your device and operating system version, and a screenshot if you have one. That is usually enough for us to reproduce it the same day.

Can I talk to a real person?

Yes. Keepah is a small team and support is not outsourced to a bot. Email hello@keepah.com and a person will read it and answer you.
